Breakfast Program - Schedule
HIP - Rotarian Scott encouraged the club to inform any indigenous or nonindigenous students we know between the age of 15 - 18 to visit HIP's website and register for the event on Jan. 23rd. Our district will be sending 2 indigenous and 2 nonindigenous students to attend. Rotarain Gord suggested getting in touch with Laurianne to notify her of this opportunity for any students she feels would be of interest.
Adventure in Citizenship - Rotarian Scott talked of our club being involved with this program for roughly 50 years. In the past we would send one student, and we would alternate each year from which school we sent from (Riverview and Eskasoni). Last year was a virtual conference because of COVID and we did sponsor two students as the cost was reduced due to being an virtual event. It is in mid May, but exact date wasn't confirmed in the meeting.
Motion - Made by Rotarian Scott - Amend our budget for 2023 to reflect funding to sponsor two students for this year's event (One from Riverview and one from Eskasoni)
Rotarian Bob seconded the motion.
