Gina:
- Opportunity to coordinate with local clubs in publishing a "Salute to Nurses" during Nurses Week in the CB Post.

Brandon:
- Discussed with club the opportunity to update the club website's url from portal.clubrunner.ca/1274 to sydneyrotary.ca.

Bob:
- Discussed refund process for Adventures in Citizenship. The Rotary Club of Ottawa asked if we would consider contributing the $370 refund to their club's charity fund. It was recommended that based on a long history and relationship with their club in this project, that it was reasonable to forgo the refund this year. An estimated $1600-1800 in expenses (flights, tickets, etc) will be avoided by our club due to this event not taking place.
Motion to not forgo the $370 refund from The Rotary Club of Ottawa was passed.
Gina:
- Asked for any nominations for the "Heart of the District" award be passed along for consideration. It was unclear beyond the title of the award what the description was. It is a distract award that can be found on their website. Bob made several suggestions for Rotarians from other clubs who have "continued to serve the district at large, even after their terms in district leadership".
John:
- John gave an update on the 100 Year Gala. Of course, the Gala has been cancelled due to COVID-19. John highlighted that no non-refundable costs have been incurred by the club. The district had paid the HAT $900. He acknowledged and thanked Rotarians who have contributed "countless hours" towards this cancelled event.
Alfred:
- Alfred gave an update on Loaves & Fishes and Crossroads Clubhouse. Both organizations continue to serve populations in need, adapting to COVID-related precautions and challenges.
Brandon:
- Raised the need to nominate and elect an incoming club executive and upload that information to ClubRunner and RI. A committee will be formed with the 3 most recent Presidents.
- Confirmed that we will continue to meet weekly via Zoom & thanked today's participants.
- Highlighted that we have created a free account on "Slack" - a service to help us continue to discuss Rotary work virtually. An invitation to Slack will be sent to all members.
- Expressed the desire to create a "Virtual Rotary Task Force" to support in creating processes to allow us to continue to meet and work as a club for our community and to prevent "going dark". Coordinating all virtual processes is challenging to do alone. A call for those interested to work with Brandon will be sent to membership.
- Guest Speakers will be planned for virtual meetings, including a review of the Rotary Foundation on May 12, 2020.
