Scott drew our attention to the monument in memory of Col. Johnny Angus MacDonald, D.S.O., who was our 7th club president. The monument is located on municipality-owned property on Park Street.

Bob reported that the Interact clubs have received invites to a Conference on May 1. The Rotaract Conference is the week before. The CBU Rotaract Club status with RI should be "active" now. The Riverview Interact Club has plans for an every-two-week clean-up in the Coxheath area. Maybe we can share our annual clean-up project with them. Earth Week is April 18-24 so it might be an appropriate time for that.

Topic: Nova Scotia Rotary Clubs Weekly 50/50 Raffle (Rafflebox)
Presenter: Darren and Bob
there are 14 clubs participating. 50% goes to the winner and approximately 35% to the club selected by the purchaser with approximately 15% going to cover lottery commission charges and administration. Administered by the New Minas Sunrise and the New Glasgow clubs. Start-up costs to each club are $50 for administration and advertising. Sales will grow slowly. All we need to do is promote the draw on our social media. An ad customized for our club will be on our Rotary Club of Sydney Facebook page for Rotarians to share.
Round Table
Lisa gave a preview of this evening's meeting about Ribfest. There will be a lot less planning for a drive-thru event, but we still need to be organized. The ribbers are prepared with supplies and compliance to regulations
Brandon, as incoming President, will be bringing up the Charter night to be discussed at Thursday's Directors meeting. May 1 is the day the club was chartered by RI.
We are grateful to receive a donation from Medicine Shoppe for our help with the Covid vaccination clinics. There will be clinics probably on April 21 & 22 and there was interest among Rotarians to help again. A roster will be drawn up by Cheryl. Maybe we can promote Rotary at these clinics.
